3 Things We Can Learn From a Steve Job (Part III)

Third: Death

When he was 17 years old, Steve Job read a phrase saying that if you live every day like your last day, then it will actually happen.

It impressed him, and, since then, for 33 years, every morning, Steve Job always sees himself in front of the mirror and asks that if this is my last day of life, what will I do? And if the answer is "no" for several days consecutively, he realizes that he must change.

Knowing that we all will die, it is the most important thing he found to make choices in his life. "Because of everything, all hope, all the pride, or the shame of failure, everything will be meaningless to death, remembering that we are going to die, is the best way I know, to avoid the traps of thought, to lose something. we were born naked, so there's no reason not to follow your heart, "said Steve Job.

One day Steve Job walk on health check, and he was diagnosed with cancer. Tumors have been found in his pancreas.

The doctor said that the cancer he suffered was a type that can not be cured. And survival time is no more than 3 to 6 months.

The doctor suggested him to go home and prepare for everything, preparing for death. Notify his family members. And that means goodbye.

One night doctors inserted endoscopy through his throat, straight into the stomach, and into his intestines, and pushed the needle into his pancreas and took some cells from the tumor. He is unconscious. But according to his wife's story, when the doctor saw his cancer his doctor was crying, finding that the type of cancer was very rare and incurable. But in the end Steve Job experienced surgery, and as a result, it turns out he can be healthy again.

That's when Steve Job is very close to death. After passing that period, Steve Job finally conclude that the death was something we had to experience but also an intellectual concept. Because everybody does not want to die, even people who want to go to heaven do not want to die to get there.

And death is the goal that we have to experience, nothing that will not happen to it. And it should be.

Our time are limited, do not waste it. Do not live with the dogma of others. Do not live the way people think. Do not let the opinions of others to interfere us. Follow your heart, because only you know what you are going to be.
